Our history
Control Solutions is an expert in Southern Africa when it comes to computer-based instrumentation and software for monitoring, measurement, control and management in the mining industry. Established in 1997 by Kevin Nichol and Russell Allsop, we have extensive experience in engineering, electronics and software development. Our first product was a unique system for in-motion weighing, called
SpeedMass®, which we developed using in-line rail transducers instead of the free-floating pit-type weigh bridge. Following on the success of
SpeedMass®, we used similar technology to develop
SafeWind®, a Slack and Tight Rope monitoring system. With clients throughout southern and east Africa, including some of the biggest names in mining, we are fast becoming southern Africa’s leading instrumentation developers.
